Message:   I hear from a friend on Sturminster council that the future of Sturminster station site is currently under discussion. Shouldn't we be part of that as, if the project continues to gain momentum, then we are going to need somewhere to run to, and Blandford has gone. At the moment the most likely outcome seems to be light industrial units, but surely a rebuilt Shillingstone Sturminster S & D in the medium future is more attractive than that? What do others think?

Message:   Seeing that the sturminster newton site is only a carpark at presant it would be the time to think about the reinstatement of the station. Any future developement now would be even more devistating for the S&D.

Iam in full agreement with you. We (Shill Sta Proj) need to be at LEAST negotiating with Stur Council for the RIGHTS of possible useage for RAILWAY use with an eye to the future.  We have GOT to think BIG, and NOT be put off by b/s!  A faint heart never won a fair lady!
