The Far North Line Name: Mark Date Posted: Aug 3, 07 - 12:17 PM Message: When I was in Scotland Dad and Me went from Inverness to Thurso and onto Wick for a day trip. If you want to do this ran it is well worth it. Three hundred forty miles fo £18. 50 return. The scenary is brilliant because you go round the lochs and the north sea coast it take four hour up and four hours back. It is run by Fist Scotrail very friendy and helpful staff. Just say we went round the north west coast of Scotland the mountian scenary is out of this world. It is a shame the victorians never built a railway up round that way. There is load of loch so boat could come in like Malliag and made money. It would interesting what way it could have gone Dingwall, Ullapool to Durness. Then Durness, Tongue and onto Forsinard on the Far morth we will never now anyway we went round by car. What you think! ![]() | |||
