Lymington to Brockenhurst Branchline closer

Message:   I now this not about the S&DJR but I though it a mention as we are trying to rebuild the railways we lost in the sixties. There are peolpe who are trying to get Lymington Town Coucil to close the Lymington branch. They reasons as follows.
1) Traffic gets stuck at the level crossing in Lymington causing polluton.
2)That the New Lymington Hospital has only one entrance the Lymington Branch is in the way of the second.
3)Also that the A337 bridge should be removed.
The replaced for the train will be a Shuttle Bus and the line made into a cycle way.

Message:   As much as i am in disgust with people having nothing better to do than to want themselves a railway to close, I am in hope that they are a minority. Much like that religeous family in america who thinks everyone but themselves are going to hell. And what they dont realise is that a shuttle bus will cause more congestion than the railway does. And If people cant wait for more than a minute or so to wait for a train which is much like waiting at traffic lights. Still there are some idiots out there who never learn. A strong resistance to the closure will no doubt shut them up eh mark?
